Some Basic Information

ℹ️ ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: You will need a visa waiver authority before you travel to The United States. It is applied for online electronically, for some nationals. Check the visa websites to establish whether your nationality can apply electronically. There are various visas that can be applied for depending on the nature of your trip. United States E-Visa is valid for 2 years.

There are numerous websites out there that offer the service but I always think it’s best to use the official government sites. A United States E-Visa costs US$21 (GB£17.50).

Use the official USA E-visa waiver website

Both government websites will send you an email confirmation of application. The approval can be anywhere from 10 minutes up to 72 hours. You will need to log into the government database with your reference number to check on the visa status.

ℹ️  CURRENCY:  The US Dollar (US$)

ℹ️  CREDIT CARDS AND BANKS:  ATMs are common place across the city. You will have no difficulties using your bankers card in cafes, restaurants and shops.

ℹ️ TIME DIFFERENCES: There are 6 time zones. Hawaii, Alaska, Pacific, Mountain, Central and Eastern.
