โ„น๏ธ  CREDIT CARDS AND BANKS:  ATMs are common place in almost every shopping street, with several โ€˜bureau de changeโ€™  around the city centre, with almost every retailer accepting Mastercard and Visa.  There is no fear of an establishment declining card payments.

 โ„น๏ธ  WEATHER:  Thailand is dominated by a tropical monsoon climate which means there are three main seasons: hot season from March to June, rainy season from July to October and cool season between November and February.

โ„น๏ธ GENERAL COSTS: Thailand is very cheap though the North is far cheaper than Bangkok and the Southern islands. You can find cheap guesthouses for as little THB400 (GBยฃ10.00) per night in the bigger cities. On the islands or for a nicer room with air-conditioning, expect to pay THB600 (GBยฃ15.00) and up per night. Hotels start at around THB1,350 (GBยฃ33.00) per night and go up from there.

Food: Food is really cheap in Thailand. Street food costs as little as THB20 (GBยฃ0.50). Most western dishes (burgers, pizza, pasta, etc) cost between THB170-340 (GBยฃ4.20-ยฃ8.50).
