Some Basic Information
ℹ️ ENTRY REQUIREMENTS: You will need a visa waiver authority before you travel to Canada. It can be applied for online electronically, for some nationals. Check the visa websites to establish whether your nationality can apply electronically. There are various visas that can be applied for depending on the nature of your trip. A Canadian visitor E-Visa is valid for 5 years.
There are numerous websites out there that offer the service but I always think it’s best to use the official government sites. A Canadian E-Visa costs CA$7 (GB£4.55/US$5.40).

Government websites will send you an email confirmation of application. The approval can be anywhere from 10 minutes up to 72 hours. You will need to log into the government database with your reference number to check on the visa status.
